PRIVACY
Your typing stays on your computer.
The correction engine works locally. The account service is optional. This page describes the pilot service currently offered at mlmagicians.tech.
Information you provide
Creating an account stores your name, email address, and a password hash. Signing in from the desktop app can store your chosen settings and personal dictionary words for sync. Do not add passwords or other secrets to the dictionary.
Optional usage sharing
Usage sharing is off by default and has a separate switch in the app. If you enable it, the service receives correction counts, time, installation identifier, account attribution, and the external application name. It does not receive typed text, corrected text, document names, window titles, or keystrokes as usage data.
Problems and support
Issue reports can store a problem code and app version. Descriptive text is accepted only after explicit consent. Local diagnostic files are not automatically uploaded.
Billing
Paid billing is not active. The account service has records for future tiers and subscriptions, but no payment cards are stored by Language Switch.
Hosting and access
The service runs on a VPS in Frankfurt, Germany. The desktop app connects through an HTTPS API; it never connects directly to PostgreSQL. Organization membership can grant access to organization account records, but synced personal dictionaries belong to the individual person.
Your choices
You can use local correction without signing in. Sign out in the desktop app to stop sync and usage sharing on that installation. Signed-in users can submit a deletion request in the website account panel. Requests are recorded for manual review; submitting one does not delete data immediately. The site stores the web session token only for the current browser tab session.
